Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew as a child in Mexico in a family who loved music. Growing up she was influenced by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the classic romantic, ranchero, as well as romantic ballads. Ana is a fan of tangos, as well as opera and dramatic performances. At age 16 she began to sing and study music with her mum. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started giving her a more intensive vocal instruction. Her music training continued in the School of Music of Guadalajara University. In the following years, she was a student at an institution called the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. The beginning of her professional career included performances with a variety of chamber ensembles and opera choruses in Guadalajara. When she moved in the United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. After 2002 she moved to Southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo for many private functions. Her passion for the performing arts, music, and the arts keeps her involved in local activities both as an artist and teacher. Ana was also a part of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher of The Performance Loft. Ana is grateful to the Inland Master Choir for allowing her to perform classic Latin American song.
